The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
The Iron Knight is the fourth book in The Iron Fey series. This book is all about Ash, the prince of the Winter Court, going on a quest to become human so that he can reunite with Meghan Chase who is now ruling the Iron Realm in Faery. This is told from Ash's POV 99% of the book. Puck also is a strong character throughout the book, so I was pretty happy. I love both him and Ash! This is awesome YA series who I would recommend to anyone who loves YA or fantasy or anything fae. I will admit to crying quite a bit with this one though. When I got to about 70% through the book, I hit one tragic thing after another until I was almost to the end of the book. And the book was already not what I would call an upbeat read. When Ash got a glimpse of what his life *could* be like as a human, it hurt me in only that magical way fiction can. I kept wanting him to change his mind... to find another way to be with her. The ending seemed bittersweet to me. There was so much sadness in the 70-90% book area, that even the ending couldn't really get me out of that book funk. It makes me wonder what will actually happen in the long run. Will definitely continue the series as I can't wait to see what is next for the world of Faery!
